Guitarist Michael Cole was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. Michael became interested in music at the age of 10 when he would sit in front of his father’s stereo and listen to music for hours. Michael picked-up the guitar when he was 14. He has been influenced and inspired by many musicians and guitarist such as Ernie Isley, Jimmy Hendricks, Norman Brown, George Benson and Paul Jackson Jr. to name a few. Michael has been playing in the Northwest for many years in addition to playing both nationally and internationally. Michael has also written music for other Northwest artist including northwest favorite Darren Motamedy. Michael has also become a sought after studio musician, playing sessions at most of the major northwest recording studios and appears on many cd projects. Michael is also an accomplished Side-Man in the gospel music genre. He has played for Grammy award winner Yolanda Adams in addition to John Pekey, Twinkie Clark, Marvin Saap and many more. In 1992, Michael founded the Jazz group Cole’lition with founding members Dajari Makena and John Anthony Cole. Michael’s goal and mission is to assemble a group of musicians that are inspired and motivation to share the gift of music with the world.
